I have photographed the arms up close using a Ray Flash on my speedlite, I have used this equipment to get even flash covering with out any shadows so you can see the scars better.  This technique is used by forensic photographers and I wanted that same cold look.

at the end I have put some photos of the chefs at work so state whose scars they belong to and why. This project isn’t finished yet but hopefully I am getting there!

With this project I wanted to show a world which the public rarely gets access to and one that only exists in very few places. It took a long time to get access Oxford University. I have grown up surrounded by the colleges and the beautiful architecture, and have always wanted to see what it was like within each college, as its so very different from any world I have been part of. Living in Oxford your surrounded by the students and tourists. The tourists taking inevitably the same pictures of all the key sites, Iwanted to photograph what they couldn’t see….
